Esther Boykin, LMFT wants to live in a world where everyone has at least one amazing relationship in their life. The kind of relationship where they feel safe to be themselves and know that they are loved wholeheartedly because of it.

A graduate of Virginia Tech, Esther is the founder and CEO of Group Therapy Associates, a private psychotherapy and coaching agency in the Washington, DC area. When she’s not working with couples and individuals to create more joyful and connected lives, she can be found drinking coffee, hosting her podcast, With That Being Said, leading a workshop, writing blog posts, or working on her next couples retreat.
Esther’s passion to change the face of mental health and emotional wellness drives her to continuously find innovative ways to reach her community. She is the creator and host of Therapy Is Not a Dirty Word , a series of happy hour style events bringing local therapists and the community together for fun and informative conversations across the country.
She also serves as the DC area leader and press coordinator for Sidewalk Talk, an international non-profit community listening project. She is also a founding member and chairperson of the well-being committee for BLIP (Black Love Industry Professionals), an association for psychotherapists, matchmakers, coaches, and other professionals dedicated to changing the narrative of love and wellness for people of color.
